Roger Kingsbury

Roger Kingsbury, 66, Grand Forks, died Friday, November 29, 2013 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Roger Kent Kingsbury was born to Robert H. and Marie (Odegaard) Kingsbury on May 18, 1947 in Grafton, North Dakota. He grew up in Grafton and attended Grafton High School. Roger served in the US Navy from February 10, 1965 to May 19, 1968 in Vietnam. He served in the US Navy Reserves from May 1968 to February 1971. Roger served in the North Dakota National Guard from August 1973 to May 1992, retiring as a First Sargent. He was also employed by the railroad, he was a firefighter for the Grand Forks City Fire Department, and later worked at UND until he retired in 1999. Roger Kingsbury and Mary Greskowiak were united in marriage on November 28, 1970 in Grand Forks. Roger is survived by his wife, Mary, Grand Forks; a daughter, Rebecca (Tom) Mollica, Centreville, MD; granddaughter, Alexandra Mollica; a nephew, Jesse (Crystal) McMullen, Hawley, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Tim Kingsbury, brothers, Miles and Robert, a sister, Debbie, and a nephew, Josh McMullen. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in United Lutheran Church, 324 Chestnut St., Grand Forks. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. Prayer Service Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks and one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment: will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks. In Lieu of Flowers the family prefers memorials to Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.
