Patricia A Schauer

Patricia "Patty" Ann Schauer, 56, greeted the Lord Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at home after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Patricia was born March 26, 1957 to Ernest and Albina (Wencl) Schauer. She was raised in Grand Forks and graduated from Red River High School. After high school, she continued her education at AVTI (now NCTC) in East Grand Forks, MN, completing her degree in welding. She also went on to work a few other jobs in the community. Patty loved her rock music, her hot rod cars, and spending countless hours visiting with family and her good friend Della. Survivors include her two children, Sarah Schauer and Chris (Laura) Schauer; her grandchildren, Virginia Rose, Catalina, and Alex, all of Grand Forks ND; a sister, Marge (Ron) Clayton, Reynolds ND; an Aunt, Marvene Johnson; cousin, Kathy (Mark) Bohlman all of Grand Forks ND, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Melvin and Danny Krell; sister-in-law, Kay Krell and a very good family friend, Renee Suedel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 7, 2013 in St. Mary's Catholic Church of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church.
