Roger L. Carl

Roger L. Carl, 77, Grand Forks, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Roger Lee Carl was born in Grand Forks to Theodore and Helen (Moga) Carl on September 5, 1936. He attended St. Michael's Catholic School and graduated from Central High School. Roger Carl and Diane Lickteig were united in marriage on September 29, 1969 in Grand Forks. They lived in Grand Forks following their marriage. Roger was employed in construction. Roger enjoyed playing hockey. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed casinos. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. He is survived by a sister, LaVerne Jeffords, Cavalier, ND; 12 nieces and nephews and numerous grand nieces and grand nephews; special friends, Sharlene Lunski and Ralph Hjelmstad. He is preceded in death by his wife, Diane, who died March 5, 2002; his parents; siblings, Gerald, Elayn Reishus, Corrine Colter, George, Kenneth, and Robert. Funeral Liturgy: will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
