Paula R. Ihlan

Paula R. Ihlan, 34, of Grand Forks, died December 20th , 2013 at the Southwest Healthcare Hospital in Bowman, ND. Paula was born in Grand Forks on October 24, 1979, the daughter of James & Ann (Stewart) Ihlan. She grew up in Denver, CO, before returning to Grand Forks where she attended Central High School and UND. She worked at Northside Café. Paula's family was the love of her life. She loved spending time with her 3 boys and dog. She always had a smile on her face, she enjoyed helping people and planning fun events with family. She also like camping, traveling, shopping, and Frisbee golf. She was one of the most loving and caring people you could ever meet. She is survived by her parents; sons, Josh, Gavin, & Zade; step-siblings, Jesus Carlos, Wendy Garcia and Carla Garcia; step-mother, Lorenza Ihlan. Paula was preceded in death by step-brother, Juan Carlos. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks. Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26 at the Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue the hour prior to the service at the church.
