Regina Ferry

Regina M. Ferry, 97, Grand Forks and formerly of Manvel, ND, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Regina M. Eblen was born on January 2, 1916, in Masena, IA. The daughter of Frank and Minnie (Sinner)Eblen. She attended school in Moorhead graduating in 1934. Regina worked in the Kaiser Shipyard in Oakland, CA, as a pipefitter during the War. Regina married Thomas I. Ferry Sr., on January 10, 1946 in Oslo, MN, and died October 17, 2008. Five children were born to this union. Rita (Duane) Bry, Manvel; Ruth Ann Gerszewski, Grand Forks; Thomas I. Jr. (Bonnie); Timothy (Rhea), Manvel; and Arlene, Plymouth, MN. Thirteen grandchildren; Jeff (Tricia)Bry, Fargo; Jennifer (David) Harrison, Manvel; Mark (Sarah) Bry, Thompson; Michael (Jessica) Bry, Bloomington, MN; Jill Gerszewski, Jacob Gerszewski, Grand Forks; Erin, Maggi, Katie, Logan, Ben, Abbie, Callie Ferry; Manvel; 9 great-grandchildren; Chloe, Chase & Charley Bry, Lauren, Ryan, Grant, and Drew Harrison, and Noah and Ella Bry; brother; Donald Eblen, Edina, MN. Reginawas a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Manvel, Manvel Brulee Homemakers, and a charter member of the Manvel American Legion Auxiliary. Reginawas preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, son- in- law, Joseph Gerszewski, brothers, Wilbur Eblen, Kenneth Eblen and sister, Eloise Johnson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, December 27, 2013 in St. Timothy's Catholic Church of Manvel. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service in St. Timothy's Catholic Church of Manvel. Burial will be in St. Timothy's Catholic Cemetery of Manvel, ND in the spring of 2014.
