Frances "Fran" L. Dunn

Frances Lorraine Dunn Fran Dunn, 85, of Grand Forks, passed away at Valley Eldercare on January 25, 2013. She was born in Breckenridge, MN on October 14, 1928 to Walter and Lela Anderson. She was married to Rodney Jack Dunn on January 1, 1947. They made their home in Grand Forks where she worked as secretary at the Grand Forks Mission, Zion United Methodist Church and Continental insurance company. Fran played piano and organ from an early age. She played at the Mission and at Zion for many years. Fran was an avid sports fan, supporting the Twins, Vikings & Fighting Sioux as well as the Zion sotball teams. Surviving are her sons Walter Dunn (Susan) of Regina, SK, Richard Dunn (Marge) of Homer, AK, daughter Marlee Snobl (Doug) of Fisher, MN, sister RoseElla Matejcek (Willie) of Wahpeton, ND, nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant daughter Glory Ann, grandson Jocean Dunn and brother-in-law George Colvert. Special thanks to the staff at Valley Elder Care for their kind and patient work with Fran. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 28 in Zion United Methodist Church, 1001 24th Ave S, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will take place in the spring in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
