Lillian B. Iverson

Lillian B. Iverson, 88, Grand Forks, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 in Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare Center, Grand Forks. Lillian Bernice Jasmer was born at Rural Edinburg, North Dakota on April 28, 1925 to William Frederick Jasmer and Clara (Troftgruben) Jasmer. She attended schools at Rural Edinburg, and graduated from Park River High School. Lillian married Orville L. Iverson on June 6, 1944 at Adams, North Dakota. She was employed at several places including, as a secretary for a law office in Grafton, North Dakota, housekeeping at Altru Hospital and in the Nutritional Program at Valley Middle School for the Grand Forks Public School System. Lillian enjoyed holiday celebrations and watching her grandchildren grow up, and also crafting and having seasonal garage sales. She did volunteer work at Calvary Lutheran Church. Lillian owned her own home until 2003 and then resided at St. Anne's Guest Home from 2003 until 2009. She moved to Valley Eldercare in 2009 and has lived there to the present time. She is survived by her sons, Darrel Iverson, Grand Forks, Randy (Patty) Iverson, Grand Forks, grandchildren, Chad and Krystal; a sister, Inez (John) Dahlgren, Grand Forks, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Eleanor, Lester, Clarence, Gordon, Everett, Alvin, and Wilma. Funeral Services: will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S. 9th St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. Prayer Service Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks and for the hour prior to the service in church.
