Kenneth O. Kvasager, 83, Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Valley Memorial Home Eldercare, Grand Forks. Kenneth was born November 5, 1930 in rural Thompson, ND, the son of Ole and Amanda (Anderson) Kvasager. He was raised and educated in rural Thompson where he also helped on his family's farm. Kenneth married Marion Lebacken on January 6, 1951 at Rosendal Lutheran Church near Reynolds. He served in the U. S. Army in Korea from 1951 to 1953. Following his service, he returned to Grand Forks where he worked for Central Lumber, Peavey Elevator, Holiday Inn and Ramada Inn where he was employed for 32 years. Kenneth enjoyed gardening, woodworking and quilting. Survivors include his wife, Marion, Grand Forks; children, Michael (Cathy) Kvasager, Bonnie Lake, WA, Debra Kvasager Tuel, Grand Forks and Lyle Kvasager, Dickinson, ND; grandchildren, Steven Gibbens, Amanda Kvasager, Tyrel Kvasager, Ashley Kvasager and Kaley Kvasager; five great grandchildren; sister, Linda Wurden, Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Kay Kvasager. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and by brothers, Elner (Dolores), Howard (Arleen) and Norris; and by sisters, Evelyn and Thelma. Military Honors will be conducted by the North Dakota Army National Guard, The American Legion and The Veterans of Foreign Wars.
