Lisa Marie Smith, Miskwaamitig Ikwe (Red Tree Woman) 37 of East Grand Forks, MN. Lisa Marie Smith was born December 18, 1976 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Jerry and Beverly Smith. She was proud of her Native American Heritage. She attended school in East Grand Forks; MN later went to Minot State University. Her hobbies were fishing, relaxing by the river, working on her car, spending time with family and friends. She was a leader, hard worker at every task she started. She had one of the biggest hearts no matter when, where, or what she would be there for her family. She helped cared for her nephews and nieces. She loved having barbeques with some of her favorites such cucumber salad and baked ribs. She loved to collect clowns and native figurines She able to fix anything, she was always on point with her "Magyver skills." All she needed was a stick of gum, toothpick, piece of tape, and bam it was done. Whenever her baby sister had car problems Lisa's house was the first stop. She always had a drawer full of candy waiting for her nephews and nieces when they came to visit. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by Beverly-Krese Smith (mother) of East Grand Forks, Jerry (Diane) Smith (father) of Grand Forks, Sasha Smith (daughter) of Fargo, Sisters Tionna Rendon of East Grand Forks, Amanda (Gilbert) Cordova of Grand Forks, Angela Vien of East Grand Forks, Estella Moncada of Blytheville, Kelly Michaud of Cass Lake, Brothers Paul Smith Sr of Grand Forks, Dustin (Esperanza) Rendon of Fargo, and 4 Stepbrothers and Stepsister, Linda Lou (goddaughter) and all her special nephews and nieces. Lisa was preceded in death by her fiancé Chad Houle, son Brody, grandson Braxton, and their pet Charlie. Grandparents Cecelia Sandbeck, Edward Krese Sr., Ernest Demary (mother), Joseph and Bella Rose Smith (father), Aunties Linda Wallette, and Marlys Schneider.
