Lorraine V. Duray

Lorraine Verna Duray, 81, of Oslo, MN, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in Altru Hospital, surrounded by her family. Lorraine V. Lunski was born on August 1, 1932 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of Tony and Verna (Budish) Lunski. She grew up and attended school in Minto, ND. Lorraine married Henry George Duray at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church on Oct. 23, 1951. They farmed in Pulaski township for 56 years. She also worked for several seasons at the Oslo beet piling station. Lorraine continued to live on the farm after her husband Henry died on Jan. 6 , 2007, until her passing. She had lived through many floods along the Red River during that time. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and Altar Society for 56 years. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, embroidering, tending to her ducks, chickens, geese and pillow making. Lorraine's family was very important to her. She was loved by all her children and families and will be missed greatly. She is survived by her children, Kathy Duray, Henry (Karen) Duray, Dennis (Laurie Surprenant) Duray, Gary (Jeanette)Duray, Marie Oihus (Wes Gerszewski), Judy Kilmer (Mike), Jeff Duray (Penny) and Roger Duray; son-in-law, Scott Larson; brother, Paul Lunski; sister-in-law, Loretta Duray; twenty grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her, parents; husband, Henry George Duray; daughter, Diane Larson; son, John Duray; foster mother, Sophie Kasprick; daughter-in-laws, Mary and Patti Duray; brothers and sisters, Bernice Contreras, Sonny Lunski and Evelyn Lunski. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:30 AM in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Warsaw, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 PM with a Rosary and prayer service at 4:30 PM in Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks, ND. Interment will be in the Spring 2014 at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Warsaw, ND.
