Amy Rostberg Hausman, 100, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks. Amy Evangeline Lee was born April 14, 1913 to the late Elvin and Ada (Opheim) Lee at Honeyford, N.D. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Honeyford. She married Gerald Rostberg on June 26, 1937. He died in 1975. In 1981 she married Ernest Hausman of Cedar Falls, Iowa. He died in 1986. She continued living in Cedar Falls until moving to Grand Forks in 1988. After attending both Mayville State College and the University of ND, Mrs. Hausman taught elementary school in Grand Forks County for 17 years. She spent many winters in McAllen, TX. She is survived by one son, Graydon (Sharon) Rostberg of Hutchinson, MN; daughters Gerry Lee (Ivan) Lucht, West Fargo, ND; Mary Ann (Charles) Leland of Ypsilanti, MI; Evie (Stewart) Hofer, San Tan Valley, AZ; one sister-in-law, Mary Jane Rostberg of Vancouver, WA; ten grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. If you wish, memorials can be given to the Valley Eldercare Angel Fund, St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Honeyford or to a charity of your choice. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 11, 2014 in Valley Eldercare Center, 2900 14th Ave. S, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour prior to the services at the nursing home.
