Marjorie "Marge" Bartuli

Marjorie Mae Bartuli, 92, of Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Marjorie M. Mankie was born on April 29, 1921 the daughter of Amil and Katherine (Sticklemeyer) Mankie. She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School in 1939. She married John Bartuli on July 16, 1946. Marge worked for Northwest Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator before retiring after 40 years of service. Marge enjoyed traveling around the country with John in retirement. She was a lifelong Grand Forks resident and participated in Telephone Pioneers, being an active member of Zion Methodist Church and the VFW. Marge is survived by many nieces and nephews and a grand nephew Keith R. Becker, pastor at Hope Covenant Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 2009; and a brother Don Mankie. A gathering will take place at 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the gathering in the funeral home.
