Janet Galle

Janet Galle, 56, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away April 30, 2014 at home. Janet was born July 24, 1957 in Sheldon, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Gloria (Vanden Berg) Clauson. They moved to Grand Forks in 1970. She graduated from Red River High School in 1975. On July 29, 1977, Janet married Doug Galle, her husband of 36 years. Janet has been a baker at Super One Foods since the flood in 1997. She had previously worked at Charles Bakery. She was an avid bowler, bowling Wednesday night league for many years. She also loved to work in her flower garden, play on the computer and she loved to read books. Janet also enjoyed spending lots of time with her 3 grandchildren Jordan, Dylan and Alex. Janet is survived by her loving husband Doug, sons: Joel (Melanie) Galle, Kevin Galle, her sisters: Carol (Gary) Schneck, Linda Clauson, brother, David (Kari) Clauson. She is also survived by 1 niece, 3 nephews and 3 grandchildren: Jordan, Dylan and Alex She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service in the funeral home.
