M. Elizabeth Castle

May 24, 2012 — May 3, 2014

Elizabeth died unexpectedly from yet unknown reasons while she was sleeping peacefully in her crib Saturday May 3rd. Lizzy was born in St.Paul, Minnesota on May 24th, 2012. The Castle family was first blessed with meeting her when they brought her home in September 2012. Lizzy blessed everyone she knew with peace and joy. The Castle's were devastated when Lizzy's birthmother changed her plan for adoption and Lizzy was returned to St Paul after only 2 weeks. Birth mother elected to place Lizzy with the Castle family again in October 2012 with the same ending result of Lizzy returning back to St Paul. Brokenheartedly, the Castle's tried to move forward, but not knowing Lizzy's whereabouts was very difficult. In December 2012, the Castle's received the gift of a lifetime. Lizzy came home for good- with the knowledge that she would not be returned again. It was a dream come true. A Christmas Miracle. Lizzy's spunky personality unfolded as she grew. She loved her big brother Elias and her sister and best friend Ruby Catherine. Lizzy learned quickly to stand up for herself and let her voice be heard. The three of them played games and laughed together daily. Lizzy and Ruby Catherine loved getting involved in their own projects. They both love to eat butter, and more than once, the girls were found in Lizzy's crib each with their own stick of butter, eating it like an ice cream bar. Lizzy loved her baby dolls and she she also loved other babies. When she attended Toddler yoga- she couldn't keep herself on the mat, but rather drifted around the room hugging the babies in class. This March Lizzy, Ruby-Catherine, Heidi (mother) and Grammy Lamby enjoyed a fun trip to Georgia and Florida. Lizzy loved the ocean. Lizzy loved to dance. She moved with music from the time she was tiny. She especially enjoyed dancing to her Dad's banjo playing. Lizzy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She survived by her Mother and Father, Eric and Heidi Castle, her big brother Elias, and her big sister Ruby Catherine, and her foster brother Lalo Flores. Her Grandparents Roger and Wendy Castle, Cory and Teri Lamb, great grand-parents Ardy and Henry Fernandez. Along with numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins who love and miss her. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Castle family residence, 733 Memorial Dr., Crookston, MN. There will also be a visitation in Grand Forks, ND Friday, May 9, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM all in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 2814 Cherry St, Grand Forks.
