Robert James Severinson

Robert "Bob" James Severinson, 81, of Reynolds, ND, died Thursday, May 8th, 2014, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Bob was born on February 19, 1933, in rural Buxton, ND. He attended school in Reynolds and married Ruth Fullerton on October 17, 1952, at Zion Lutheran Church. They lived in many different towns, but eventually they returned to Reynolds, calling it home for the last 45 years. Bob worked for many years as the night manager of Whitey's Café in East Grand Forks, MN. He loved to play cards and visit, and enjoyed making people laugh with his quick wit. Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth; children, Robert D. Severinson of Mayville, ND, and Rachel (Joe) Fischer of Reynolds, ND; grandchildren, Danielle Skavlem of Grand Forks, Lindsay Skavlem of Grand Forks and Devin Skavlem of Reynolds; great-granddaughter, Kori Gustafson of Grand Forks, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Leonard, Everett, Donald, Norman and Harold. MEMORIAL SERVICES: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Zion Lutheran Church in Reynolds.
