Margaret Kapocius

Margaret Kapocius, 92, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in her home. The daughter of Katharina and Michael Klump, Margaret was born on November 26, 1921, in Germany. She married Victor Kapocius in Ontario, Canada, in 1956. They later made their home in Boston, Mass, where their son John was born. She worked for many years in Boston as an accountant before moving to Grand Forks in 1998 to be near her son and his family. Margaret worked as a volunteer in the Altru Hospital gift shop in Grand Forks for 10 years. Margaret is survived by her son, John (Della) of Grand Forks, and graddaughters, Kathryn, Fargo, and Amy, Grand Forks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katharina and Michael Klump, her brother Wilhelm Klump, and her husband, Victor Kapocius. A memorial mass will be held on June 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church. A private, family burial will take place in Germany at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to St. Mary's Project Kids and Tots, Grand Forks.
