Marlene Tedora Kuntz

Marlene Tedora Kuntz, 81, died Monday, May 26, 2014, at her home in Grand Forks. Marlene was born May 2, 1933, the daughter of Theodore & Stella (Jordahl) Helgeson. She grew up and attended schools in Grand Forks, graduating from Central High School. She married Robert "Jimmy" James Kuntz July 5, 1957 and they made their home in Grand Forks. Marlene worked as a cook, waitress, cashier, caregiver at United Lutheran Church Nursery, and a fulltime mother. She served as a volunteer with many other groups. Marlene enjoyed family reunions and holidays spent together. She had many fun times fishing in Bemidji, and spending time with family. She also enjoyed traveling, roller skating, genealogy, Christmas in Texas, movies, working puzzles, going out to eat, water exercise, playing cards, reading, and going to casinos. Marlene is survived by her children, Shirley (Clarance Jr.) LupPlace, Robert Jr. (Diane) Kuntz; grandson, James LupPlace; sisters, Edna Mae Keller, Donna Jean (Pat) Burris, Shirley Billberg; brother, Hebert (Diane) Helgeson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy. MEMORIAL SERVICES: 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND 58201. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: one hour prior to the service at Amundson's. INURNMENT: Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND
