Annamae "Ann" Bakke, 82, Grand Forks, died Friday, May 30, 2014 in 4000 Valley Square - Woodside Village, Grand Forks. Annamae Miller was born to George H. Miller and Anna Marie (Warrington) Miller on January 26, 1932 at Bemidji, Minnesota. She was raised and educated in East Grand Forks, MN, and graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High School. She then attended Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks. Annamae Miller and Lawrence C. Bakke were united in marriage on May 23, 1976. They resided in Grand Forks following their marriage. Annamae was a court reporter at Grand Forks and Ellsworth Air Force Bases. She enjoyed painting, bowling, dancing, she loved animals, and spending time with her family and friends. Annamae also enjoyed spending many summers at Lake Plantaganet, Minnesota. She was an active member of Sharon Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi, VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. Anna is survived by sisters, Shirley (Jerry) Anderson, Grand Forks, Mona (Don) Brundin, Grand Forks; brothers, Larry (Linda) Miller, Bemidji, MN, and David (Doris) Miller, New Jersey; step-children, Perry Bakke, Morgan Hill, CA, Randy Bakke, Park Rapids, MN, and Dana (Kathy) Bakke, Grand Forks; step-grandchildren, Chad Bakke, Cherice Levenhagen, Jason Bakke, Danika Bakke, and Alissa Bakke; 4 step-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence who died June 25, 2000, twin brother, John "Jackie", George, Harry "Bud"; sisters, Ruth Baker, and Alice "Peggy" Baker. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 in Sharon Lutheran Church, 1720 S. 20th St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. with a 4:30 p.m. Prayer Service Sunday, June 1, 2014 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St, and one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks. Memorials are preferred to Sharon Lutheran Church, or 4000 Valley Square Alzheimers Unit.
