Eileen Elizabeth (Hendrickson) Holte, 75, Thompson, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born February 27, 1939 near Abercrombie, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Edward Hendrickson and Elizabeth (Odegard) Hendrickson Johnson. She lived in Fargo, North Dakota until moving to rural Wyndmere, North Dakota where she attended Wyndmere Public School and upon graduation worked for a time in Fargo. She married Ronald Holte on June 6, 1957 and moved to Grand Forks. In 1959 they moved to Thompson, North Dakota where they raised their six children. She was a long-time volunteer and the ARC as well as 4000 Valley Square. Eileen especially enjoyed her family, playing bingo, crossword puzzles and visiting with all of her friends. Eileen is survived by her husband, Ron; six children, Jeffery (Lynn) of Grand Forks, Rhonda Johnson, Grand Forks, Michael (Lucia) of Seattle, WA, Lori (Scott) Wurzbacher of Denver, CO, Larry (Connie) of Thompson, and Richard (Laurie) of Grand Forks; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl Peterson and LaVonne Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carol; a brother, Jerome; her beloved grandparents; and special aunt and uncle. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 in Walle Lutheran Church, Rural Thompson, ND. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7:00 Prayer Service Wednesday, June 4 (today), 2014 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St, and one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in Walle Lutheran Church Cemetery.
