Joyce Elaine Hart

Joyce Hart, 85, of Grand Forks, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook, MN. Joyce or "Joy" was born to Clara and Peter Berg on September 11th, 1928 at her parent's farm near Gonvick (Wildwood) Minnesota. She was the youngest of four which also included her sisters Mavis and Phyllis and brother Duane. Joy met her best friend and future husband, Dale Hart, and wed August 30, 1951. During their 45 year marriage, they became parents to five children including Stephanie (Scott) Christensen, Timothy, Daniel (Michelle), baby girl Hart and Jonathan. Joyce was blessed with a kind heart and generous spirit. She loved her family and was proud of them and she loved her Lord. She enjoyed reading, crosswords puzzles, country music, going out to eat and laughing. She also enjoyed traveling and felt fortunate to have visited most of the United States and Canada as well as England, Scotland, Wales, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Israel, Egypt, Norway and Sweden. She will be forever loved and remembered by her sons; daughter-in-law, Michelle; grand-daughter, Tara; grand-sons, Joshua (Melissa) Heffernan, Dustin, Peter Christensen, Joseph, Jacob and Adam and her great-grand-children, Gage and Jaeger Heffernan and Jayla, Isaac and Bently. She is reunited in heaven with her husband (who got his sweetheart back), daughters, parents, brother and sister Mavis. Graveside memorial services will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13th at Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Forks.
