Shirley R. Jenson

Shirley Rae Jenson passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Shirley was born to Robert and Laura Moulds on May 26, 1949 in Grand Forks, ND. She married the love of her life, Donald V. Jenson, on November 18, 1967. Out of their marriage three children were born. Shirley loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and on occasion still play some pinochle. Shirley will be missed by all who knew her for her love and crazy sense of humor. The family would like to thank Dr. Dentchev for never giving up and the nursing staff of the ICU at Altru for their sincere compassion in taking care of mom. Shirley is survived by her children, Donald V. (Julie) Jenson, Jr., Darla R. Jenson and Kenneth D. (Candee) Jenson; grandchildren, Donald V Jenson III, Summer Jenson, Dylan Jenson, Landon Jenson and Jaydee Jenson; great grandchild, Easton Jenson; brother, Kenny (Angela) Moulds; and a sister, Roberta Naatz. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband; many aunts and uncles; and a half brother, Ronnie Barrett. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 5:30PM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, MN. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church.
