Leigh Olson

Leigh Olson, 77, of Grand Forks, ND died Monday, July 14th, 2014 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center. Leigh was born on February 5th, 1937 in Sheyenne, ND and raised in the Thompson area. He was the son of Iland and Lillian Olson. Stationed in Germany, Leigh served his country during the Korean War. In the service he was a successful boxer and remained a fan for life. After retirement as a Coke salesman, Leigh returned to farm work, which he loved. Left to mourn his passing are his brother, Dennis Olson, sons Craig and Curtis, daughter Denise, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Iland and Lillian, and siblings, Sonny and Sharon. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
