Joe Goulet

Joseph A. "Joe" Goulet, 73, Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, July 19, 2014 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Joe was born October 12, 1940 in Walhalla, ND the son of Joseph A. and Lena Mae Goulet. He was raised and educated in Walhalla. He graduated from vocational college in Thief River Falls, MN. He lived in Gentilly, MN and Crookston, MN before moving to Grand Forks, ND. Joe worked as a truck driver, a farmer and in construction, but his passion was working on cars as a mechanic. Joe also enjoyed time at Union Lake, MN. Joe married Pamela Thomas on December 14, 1991 in Crookston, MN. She survives along with children, Doug Goulet, Karen Goulet, Becky Goulet, Anita Goulet and Devin Goulet; grandchildren, Christen, Magen, Alicia, Adam, Jeremy, Jared and Phillip; siblings, Joseph (Linda) Goulet, Delores Chambers, Dorothy Schell, Joseph (Paula) Goulet, Joseph (Roxanne) Goulet, Kermit (Donna) Gunsolley, Joseph Marvin Goulet, Joseph Marlon Goulet, Joseph (Angela) Goulet, Jerry (Denise) Goulet, Freddy (Judy) Cook, Joseph (Barb) Goulet and Mona (Gene) Hoffman as well as Joe's numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; by a grandson, Justin Goulet; brother, Louis Andre Goulet; and a sister, Louise Foster. A reception to celebrate Joe's life will be 1:00 PM Friday, July 25, 2014 in the East Grand Forks American Legion Club.
