Dennis C. Andruski

Dennis C. Andruski, 54, Grand Forks, ND passed away peacefully Monday, July 21, 2014 at home. Dennis Craig Andruski was born August 30, 1959 in Virden, Manitoba, Canada to Joseph and Shirley (Pearcy) Andruski. Dennis grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, ND. He graduated from Grand Forks Central in 1977. Dennis had the opportunity to work side by side with his father on the Alaskan Pipeline as a welder. He later enjoyed working with people as a car salesman and getting to know each customer. His good nature and genuine smile were contagious. Dennis lived his life as an avid outdoorsman who spent many hours fishing as well as hunting a variety of game birds and deer. Dennis was a passionate fisherman who was able to turn his love of fishing into a career as a Pro Fisherman. He started his own business, Fishaholic Tackle, which supplied fishing gear to anglers within the tri-state area. Dennis won numerous trophies and awards at fishing tournaments. Most recently (June 15, 2014), he earned 1st place at the Spirit Lake Marina Walleye Classic Open in Devils Lake, ND. He enjoyed spending time on the water with his crew of fishing buddies, his children, and grandchildren. Dennis is survived by his mother, Shirley Andruski, Grand Forks; sister Tammy (Dave) Lillemoen, Grand Forks; sons, Dustin (Rachel), Fargo and Dominic, Grand Forks; daughter, Laura (Bill), East Grand Forks; and his grandchildren Riley and Taylor. Dennis is also survived by many beloved friends and relatives. Dennis was preceded in death by his father Joseph Andruski; his grandparents Dymetro and Mary Andruski, Edward and Martha Pearcy. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St, Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
