Terry Tibiatowski

Terry L. Tibiatowski, 52, Grand Forks, ND passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 Terry was born November 9, 1961 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Adolph Tibiatowski and Marian (Hill) Engie. He was born in Grand Forks and raised in both Spokane, WA and Grand Forks, ND. He graduated from high school in Spokane in 1980 and returned to Grand Forks in 1983. First and foremost, Terry loved being a drummer and was in numerous bands in the area including Deliverance, Gypsy Wynd, and most recently, The Dirty Dogs. Terry loved fishing, especially with his sons, at Devils Lake and spending time at his brother's cabin on Elbow Lake in MN. He was a huge Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR and going to the dirt track races in Grand Forks. He also enjoyed, and was grateful for, his employment at Porta-Mix of East Grand Forks, MN. Survivors include Terry's two sons, Chris Ekren and Trent Tibiatowski, both of Grand Forks, ND; two sisters Susan Collins, Maple Valley, WA and Tracey (Steve) Harbinson, Snohomish, WA; and three brothers Jerry (Katherine) Tibiatowski, Fargo, ND, Galen (Dawn) Tibiatowski, East Grand Forks, MN, and John Tibiatowski, Grand Forks. Also surviving is Terry's significant other, Becky Rockwell, Grand Forks. Terry was preceded in death by his parents. The Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, August 30, 2014 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. A gathering for friends and family will start at 1:00 pm before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be directed to the Grand Forks Humane Society.
