Tinky Iverson

BernaDene "Tinky" Iverson, 78, Grand Forks, ND passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Tinky was born October 25, 1935 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Lloyd and Frances (Ferguson) Montgomery. She was raised and educated in Manvel, ND. She worked for 20 years for Altru Hospital. She then owned and operated Tinky's Treasures in the South Forks Mall until she retired due to ill health. Survivors include her daughters, Vicky (Bill) Sauerwein, Jerseyville, IL, Carol Sonnenberg, East Grand Forks, MN and Jeannie Strande, Grand Forks; son, Rick Iverson, New Rockford, ND; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Lynette) Montgomery, Grand Forks; sister, Sharon Thompson, Grand Forks and a son-in-law, Loyd Hoverson, Park Rapids, MN. Tinky was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda in 1983; grandson, Joshua and one infant grandchild; brother, Richard "Ike" Montgomery; nephew, Jeff Thompson and Tinky's very special friend, Shorty Narlock. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 15, 2014 in Sharon Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will continue for the hour before the service in the church.
