Burnett M. Grove went home to heaven, October 27, 2014 at Valley 4000 Square in Grand Forks ND. BURNETT MYRON GROVE was born July 8th 1923 to Bennie & Minnie (Wilson) Grove, at their home in Bentru Township in Grand Forks County, ND. He lived his entire life in Grand Forks County. He married Ella Belling July 9th 1952. He married Kathleen Richards in 1990 in Yuma, Arizona. He spent most of his life farming, which he loved very much. In his retirement years he spent many hours doing woodworking projects in his garage, which was another of his loves. Other hobbies that he enjoyed were fishing, playing cards, and reading. He also was very active in several organizations, 30 years as a District Supervisor for the Eastern Grand Forks County Soil Conservation District, various positions on the Rosendal Lutheran Church Council, treasurer of the Rosendal Lutheran Church Cemetery Assoc., member of the Bentru Township town board & Bentru Township school board, and a director on the Deaconess Hospital & United Hospital Board of directors. Most recently he lived in Grand Forks ND and was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks, MN. He has spent his last days as a resident of Valley 4000 Woodside Village. He is survived by 4 children, Maxine Beseler, Fargo, ND; Janet (Richard) Sabol, Minot, ND; John (Vicki) Grove, West Fargo, ND; Oren Grove, Grand Forks, ND: Grandchildren: Brian Beseler, Aaron (Tanya) Beseler, Erika (Joel) Beseler Thompson, Rachel (Josh) Ring, Heather (Michael) Kalamaha, Scott (Sarah) Sabol, Jennifer(Greg) Huber, Matthew (Shannon) Grove; 13 great grand-children, and one great great-grand-child, brother: Arthur Grove; sisters: Viola Torkelson, Florence Danielson, several nieces & nephews, and a very special friend Evelyn Stenerson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie & Minnie; one daughter, Elizabeth Rachel; son-in-law, Walter William "Bill" Beseler; brother & his wife, Clayton & Evelyn Grove, and brothers-in-law, Arnold Torkelson & Donald Danielson, sister-in-law, Vie Grove, Wife: Kathleen Grove and grand son-in-law Matthew Sharp. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 1, 2014 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM with a 6:30 PM Prayer Service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will continue for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Rosendal Lutheran Cemetery of rural Reynolds, ND.
