Obituary Debra Louise (Barnes) Ericson Debra passed away suddenly Wednesday November 5, 2014 at her home. She was born October 8, 1954 in Waterloo, Iowa to Donald and Ruth (Wedemeier) Barnes. She moved to Grand Forks with her family in 1965 and had all her schooling here. She graduated from Red River High School in 1972. Debra married Gary Bergman at Calvary Lutheran Church in 1974. They had one daughter, Nicole E. Foster, who lives in Los Angeles, CA. Nicole blessed Debra with three grandsons. Andrew Ronald Foster who currently lives in Bismarck, North Dakota. Thomas Edward-Louis Foster, who was named after Debra, and Casey James Foster who lives with Nicole in Los Angeles. Debra later married Edward Ericson. Debra worked as a driver's license examiner until she was injured in a car accident, which left her in poor health for the rest of her days. Debra was a confirmed member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She loved making jewelry, ceramic ornaments, and beautiful floral arrangements. Prior to her accident, she was an avid fisherman and hunter. Debra is survived by her daughter and three grandsons; her mother Ruth, Grand Forks; her sister Karen Barnes and husband, Duane Moulds, Fisher, MN; nieces and nephews Richard (Jennifer) Barnes, Jaime and Elizabeth Barnes, Eric and Erin Barnes-Olson, Matthew Wedemeier-Carroll, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Debra was preceded in death by grandparents, her father Donald (Barney) Barnes, her brother James Donald Barnes and her husband Edward Ericson. Services will be Monday November 10, 2014 at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Visitation will be at 11:00 am with a service to follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks.
