Connie Mae Vondal

Connie Mae Vondal, 60, of Grand Forks, ND passed away following a short second battle with cancer on Sunday, November 30th, 2014, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. She was born June 21, 1954 in Grand Forks ND, Daughter of Ervin and Elizabeth Visness. Connie Married David Vondal Sr. on December 17th, 1976. Connie was a homemaker and mother of 4 children. She enjoyed Classic country music, watching UND Hockey games and WWE wrestling on TV, playing Bingo and reading. She will be greatly missed by her husband, David Vondal Sr.; Children, Jamie Visness of Las Vegas NV, Kitrina (Scott) Pede, Andrea Vondal and David Vondal Jr. all of Grand Forks; Step-Children, Toni Weinzapfel of Evansville Ind., Tony (Kimberly) Mortrud of Alaska and Angela (Corey) Ackerman of Cummings, ND; 7 Siblings, Karen Moncada, Cathy Dilling, Lynn Hatfield, Patricia Best, Danny Visness, Jim Visness and Tom Visness; 16 grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews. Connie was preceded in death by her Parents, Elizabeth and Erving; Brothers, Kerry and Jack Visness; and sisters, Renae Bouvette, Katherine Spicer, and Diane Rice. Memorial Services will be 1:30 PM Friday, December 5, 2014 at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home.
