Myron A. Lane, 85, of Thompson, ND, died Friday, December 5, 2014 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Myron was born December 21, 1928, in Thompson, ND, the son of Asa & Mable (Barr) Lane. He grew up and attended school in Thompson, ND. He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict from 1953-1958. Myron began his work as a carpenter after returning from his tour over seas. He continued to practice as a respected woodworker until the day he died. Myron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Through sportsmanship, he developed life long relationships with the ones he loved and the ones who loved him back. Although he was never married his immediate family always consisted of a dog, very special neighbors, and as many nieces and nephews he could surround himself with. Myron lived his life with passion and commitment acting with strong values and always considerate of the ones he loved most. He will be missed. He is survived by his brother Earl (Deanna) Lane of Thompson, ND. Myron is preceded in death by his parents; 5 sisters and 3 brothers. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND VISITATION: One hour prior to the service at Amundsons. INURNMENT: Holmes Methodist Cemetery, Holmes, ND. MILITARY HONORS: Thompson American Legion Post #181 & the ND Army National Guard Funeral Honor Team
