Ramona Stone

Ramona J. Stone, 80, Grand Forks, ND, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Northwood Deaconess Health Center, Northwood, ND. Ramona was born on November 26, 1934 in Leroy, ND, the daughter of Author and Agnes (Longtin) Beaudoin. She was raised in Leroy, ND. She married Floyd L. Stone on Nov. 11, 1953. They lived in St. Paul, MN, Cartwright, Upham, Starkweather, Calvin, Langdon, Walhalla, Drayton, and retired in Grand Forks, ND. She loved playing cards, BINGO, baking, canning and entertaining family and friends. Ramona worked as a cook for many years, worked in a bakery, and ran a daycare for a couple years. She is survived by her children, Dean (Eleanor) Stone, and Candace Stone, both of Grand Forks; one grandson, Justin Stone, Grand Forks; sisters, Elaine Gendron, Walhalla, ND, Gerry (Curtis) Herman, Minot, ND, Pat (Ray) Rossenborg, Byron, WY; a brother, Duane (Joann) Beaudoin, Mariposa, CA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 sisters, two brothers, and one brother-in-law. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 in United Lutheran Church, 324 Chestnut St., Grand Forks. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks, and one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2014 at the ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
