Joyce A. Hollevoet, Grand Forks, ND, died Jan. 12, 2015 at Altru Hospital. Joyce Hollevoet was born July 24, 1917 to Isabelle and Conrad Amundson at Northwood, ND. Joyce's mother died when she was two years old so she was then raised by Tom and Bertina Ulvick of Northwood. She lived with them until she was 18 years old. She attended and graduated from high school in Northwood. She moved to Grand Forks and was employed at various places. She married Helmer J. Hollevoet on September 3, 1941 in Crookston, MN. They lived in Grand Forks following their marriage. She was later employed at UND in management of food service for 17 years. Her hobbies included reading and she enjoyed writing personal poetry. Many people enjoyed being the recipient of her poems which included 25th and 50th anniversaries of many of her friends. She also wrote poetry for numerous birthdays. She had an incredible love of people. She was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Joyce is survived by her children, Dennis Hollevoet, Schaumburg, Illinois, Diane (Gordon) Everson, Aitkin, MN and Roger (Jackie) Hollevoet, Bismarck, ND; a step daughter, Beverly Knutson, Kent, WA; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Cleo Amundson. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 30, 2015 in St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery of Grand Forks in the spring of 2015
