Jeffrey E. Pitts

Jeffrey E. Pitts, 56, of Minto, ND died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at the Unity Hospital, Grafton, ND. Jeffrey Edward Pitts was born on March 29, 1958 in Double Springs, AL the son of John and Polly (Spann) Pitts. He grew up and attended school in Alabama. Jeff entered the US Air Force and served for 16 years before being honorably discharged. On May 16, 1983 he married Judy Johnson in Grand Forks. Jeff worked for J-Mar Enterprises as a commercial semi driver for 16 years and had to retire due to health reasons. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, dog Bella, fishing and watching golf. Jeff is survived by his wife, Judy; sisters, Patricia Pitts LaCaria, Penny Schufreider, Pansy Pitts and Pam Cournoyer; mother, Polly Spann; children, John , Brandon and Sandra (Bart) Pitts Morrow; grandchildren, Gracie Morrow, Katie Morrow and Haylee Morrow, He was preceded in death by his father, John; grandparents, Loather (Rosa) Pitts and Warren (Francis) Lee. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at 6:30 PM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 6:30PM in the funeral home.
