Keith Leeson

Keith R. Leeson, 95, of Ardoch, ND, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 in Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare Center, Grand Forks. Keith Robert Leeson was born to Robert and Florence (Blakely) Leeson on September 20, 1919 in Grand Forks. He attended rural country school. Keith served for four years in the US Army during World War II and attended refrigeration school. He married the love of his life, Ann Kurtyka in the Rosedale Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 1, 1951. The couple returned to Ardoch, North Dakota where they farmed and raised Black Angus cattle. Keith was a member of the Zion Congregational Church of Manvel, North Dakota He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ann; daughter, Julie (Mark) Suda of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew and Daniel; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Kurtyka and Leatrice Erlander; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Walter. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service on Friday, February 20, 2015 and one hour prior to the service, all in the funeral home. Military Honors will be presented by the Manvel American Legion and the North Dakota Army National Guard. Interment will be in the Spring in Ardoch Cemetery, Ardoch, North Dakota.
