Harriet A. Dickson, 94, of Grand Forks died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 in Valley Eldercare Center, Grand Forks. Harriet A. Quanrud was born on Dec. 22, 1920 in Mekinock, ND the daughter of Laurence and Anna Marie (Jorde) Quanrud. She graduated from Gilby High School. She then graduated nursing school in Minneapolis, MN. Harriet married M.G.(Farmer) Dickson on November 11, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN. Harriet had many interests. Family always came first. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She had a great sense of style, enjoyed entertaining, and especially painting in water color. Her flower garden always was her pride and joy in the summer months. Harriet is survived by her son Jeff Dickson of Gilby; daughter, Joan (Martin) Yahna of Northwood; brother, Morris Quanrud, San Jose, CA; sisters, Aldora Angelo, Manteca, CA, Lorna Erickson, Salinas, CA, Avis "Suzie" (Lyle)Thorson, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Todd (Lori) Yahna, Tracy (Robert) Lipetzky, Michelle (Anthony) Gullikson, Joseph (Jane) Yahna, Mark (Rachel) Yahna, Lindsay (Ryan) Schafer, Jacob Dickson, Whitney Dickson, Bailee (Jordan) Kopp; great grandchildren, Megan, Blake, Macy Yahna; Brittany, Hannah, Halle, Addie Lipetzky; Payton, Kinzie, Gavin Gullikson; Joshua, Berit Yahna; Ella, Cayden Yahna; Jorde, Lincoln Cae Schafer. She was preceded in death by her husband, and infant sister, Hazel and a brother, Thomas. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 2:30 PM in the Gilby Presbyterian Church, Gilby, ND. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery, Gilby, ND.
