Brian D. Barclay, 31, Buxton, ND and formerly of Grand Forks, ND, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at home. Brian Douglas Barclay was born April 16, 1983 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Douglas and Julie (Nordrum) Barclay. He was raised and educated in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School in 2001. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in computer sciences. Brian worked at UND in both the Continuing Education department and in Rural Health. He later worked out of his home for Atlas Company. Brian was currently working in the Industrial Technology department of AE2S in Grand Forks. Brian played football while attending Grand Forks Central and later coached the team. He loved softball, fishing, woodworking and everything to do with his children. He also served in the Volunteer Fire Department of Buxton. Brian married Tracy Gustafson on December 4, 2004 in Grand Forks. She survives along with their children, Andrew, Jacob and Brynn; Brian's parents, Douglas and Julie Barclay, Grand Forks; brother, Mark (Aly) Barclay, Grand Forks and grandfather, Andor Barclay, Grand Forks; In-laws, Barb and Wayne Brandvold, Edinburg, ND; Jess Gustafson, Adams, ND; Brother-in-law, Greg Gustafson, Moorhead, MN; Sisters-in-law, Brooke and Stefanie Brandvold, Grand Forks. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donna Barclay and Marvin and Pearl Nordum. Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in United Lutheran Church, 324 Chestnut St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will continue for the hour before the service in the church.
