Steven Pecka

Tears are shed when we are ushered into this world and Tears are shed when we are ushered out. Steven G. Pecka, 76, of Conway, ND entered into eternal life, January 20, 2015 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Steven (Steve) Pecka was born April 24, 1938 in Conway, ND to Edward and Mary (Novak) Pecka. He grew to adulthood in Conway. Steve served in the military from 1956 to 1958. After his discharge Steve began working at various jobs. On March 11, 1960 he married the love of his life Julie (Turner) in Park River, ND. They were truly blessed with 4 loving children. Steve was a kind, caring man who always saw the good in everyone. He enjoyed his morning coffee with his brother Tom and riding his golf cart around town. He considered Conway his home and remained there until his death. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 54 years, Julie, Conway, ND; children, Cindy (Gary) Brooks, Buxton, ND, Todd (Shan) Pecka, Minot, ND, Dale (Melanie) Pecka, Park River, ND, Tammy (Sam) Exner, LaMoure, ND; 8 grandchildren, 5 step grandchidren; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 step great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom, Conway, ND, Eddie (Eunice) Pecka, Lankin, ND, Mamie Lien, Conway, ND and Viola (Kenny) Funseth, Park River, ND. Several other family as well. Welcoming him into eternal life are his parents, grandparents, sisters, Shirley and Sylvia, brothers-in-law, Eldon and Gary, and nephew, Gary Pecka. Always loved and never forgotten! Graveside services will be Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Cemetery, Conway, ND.
