Betty Egstad

Betty Egstad, 93, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks. Betty was born May 10, 1921, in East Grand Forks, MN, the daughter of Pius & Caroline (Usselman) Bertsch. She grew up and attended schools in East Grand Forks. She met and married George Egstad May 27, 1957 in Grand Forks where they made their home. Betty enjoyed music, dancing, gardening, rummaging, spending time at the lake and family gatherings. She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne (Steve) Adair of Grand Forks; sisters, Evelyn Schmechel of Fargo, ND, and Shirley (Don) Sorenson of Fargo, ND; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George. Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service. Interment: Later spring at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
