Rita Deleski

Rita J. Deleski, 75, Emerado, ND, died Monday, March 23, 2015 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Rita June Peterson, the daughter of Bernard Jerome Peterson and Edna Mona (Brawders) Peterson was born June 24, 1939 at Thief River Falls, Minnesota. She was raised and educated at Sheyenne, North Dakota and graduated from high school there. Rita married Leonard Deleski on November 4, 1958 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. Rita enjoyed her family as well as gardening, bowling, animals of any kind, and spending time at the cabin on Devils Lake. She is survived by her husband, Leonard, Emerado, ND; children, Stephen (Laura) Deleski of Willmar, MN and their daughter, Jessica (Taylor) Voss, Mona Snell of Grand Forks, ND and her children, Mitchell Snell, Matt Snell, Megan (Mike) McKay and their son, Trey, Cameron (Debbie) Deleski of Emerado, ND and their son, Tyler Finnie, Tami Jo (Duane) Bertsch of Grand Forks and their sons, Hayden and Connor; four nieces, Lisa (Allan) Howard, Colleen (Gordon) Benson, Brenda (Greg)Rue, and Darlene (Greg) Kolstad, all of Sheyenne, ND; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Paddy Peterson. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in St. Michael's Catholic Church, 520 5th Ave North, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service in church. Memorials given to the family will be given to local cardiac care.
