Querinda Foss

Querinda "Punki" Foss, 68, of Grand Forks, ND died peacefully in her home on Monday, April 06, 2015, with family at her side. Querinda LaVonne Forsberg was born to Quentin H. & Blanche E. Forsberg on January 29, 1947 in Bottineau, ND. She was raised in Bottineau, Rugby, Minot, Williston and graduated from Bottineau, HS in 1965. On April 29th, 1967 she married Larry Arthur Jensen in Westhope, ND. She resided on the family farm for the next 19 years. From this union came two daughters Angela DeAnn and Tonya ReNae. On July 18, 1987, she married Virgil Dale Foss in Westhope, ND. In 1994 they moved to Grafton where she was a Store Clerk at Denny's Grocery Store and later a Para at the Grafton H.S. In 2013, they made the move to Grand Forks, ND where she worked at ConsignIt until the time of her illness. Querinda always loved to throw a good card party with great food. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and her huge smile and laugh were infectious. She got great enjoyment and comfort from Lilypad puss-puss her calico cat. Querinda is survived by her husband, Virgil; children, Angela (Joel) Lundy of Devils Lake, Tonya (Steve) Blackburn of Grand Forks; 9 grandchildren, Michael & Jordan Lundy of Devils Lake, Skylar McIntosh of Grand Forks, Samantha Blackburn of Moorhead, MN, Joshua Blackburn of Grand Forks, ND; 1 great-granddaughter Paisley Higgins of Grand Forks; her mother, Blanche Forsberg of Great Falls, MT; 1 brother, LaMonte Forsberg of Rochester, MN; 1 sister, Sharleen (Dan) Bollich of Great Falls, MT; Step-daughter, Sandra (Randy) Gross of Coffeville, KS and her daughter, Christina Wulf; Step-son, David Foss and his children Julyan and Maite of Leavenworth, KS along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Quentin; sister, Diann and an infant son. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at Trinity Free Lutheran Church 3426 Chestnut St in Grand Forks. VISITATION: One hour prior to the service at the church.
