Donald F. Lunski, 79, Grand Forks, died Friday, May 1, 2015 at home. Donald Frank Lunski, the son of William and Ida (Pokrzywinski) Lunski was born at Ardoch, North Dakota on March 13, 1936. Donald Lunski and Shirley Kise were united in marriage on May 26, 1959 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. Donald served in the US Army from June 2, 1959 to May 15, 1961. Donald and Shirley lived in Grand Forks where he owned and operated Don's Construction Co. He enjoyed playing the accordion and guitar, going to the races, and spending time at Maple Lake, Minnesota. Donald is survived by his wife, Shirley, Grand Forks; a daughter, Sherry (Dean) Lyste, Northwood, ND; son-in-law, Brian Green, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Danny, Justine, Angela, and Michael, great-grandchildren, Jerzee, Rylee, Gracie, and Easton; sisters, Ruth (Terry) Jensen, Grand Forks, Eva (Al) Bergstrom, Grand Forks; sister-in-law, Verna, Thief River Falls, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Danny Lunski, a daughter, Cindy Green, brothers, Joe and Bill. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in St. Michael's Catholic Church, 520 N. 5th St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service Monday, May 4, 2015 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks and one hour prior to mass in the church.
