Linda Wiley passed away on May 7, 2015 at home in Grand Forks. She was born to Inez and Edward Wiley on August 31, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas. She grew up in Washington and graduated from Mercer Island High School in 1972. In 1978 she moved to Grand Forks and married David Nelson. She earned a bachelor's degree and an MBA from the University of North Dakota and received a degree in computer maintenance from NCTC in East Grand Forks. Among the jobs she held, her favorite places of employment were Altru Hospital and Simplot. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, movies, the Grand Forks Y (where she had been a member for 36 years), walks on the Greenway, and summer swims in the Riverside pool. She had a special fondness for cats (especially Zeke). Preceding her in death were her parents and her step-sister Amy Burke-Smith. Survivors include her husband, brother Lance, her step-mother Suzanne Burke-Wiley, her step-siblings Holly and Ted along with their respective families. A celebration of Linda's life will be held at Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks, ND, on Saturday, May, 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
