Kent Regan, 62, Thompson, ND, died May 9, 2015 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Bryant Kent Regan was born in Williston, ND to Robert F. and Mary Lou (Neu) Regan on January 29, 1953. He was born on his Grandpa Henry Neu's 68th birthday. At age 8, Kent was the winner of Williston's "Punt, Pass, and Kick" football competition. This started his desire for playing high school and college football. Kent's "red shirt" team at Wahpeton State School of Science was known as "Regan's Raiders." Kent graduated from McClusky High School, McClusky, ND, in 1971. In 1973, he graduated from Wahpeton State School of Science with a degree in Architectural Drafting and Estimating. Kent was also a WWII history buff. He worked construction with his family as Regan Construction in McClusky and later as Regan Lumber and Construction in Gackle, ND. In 1993, he became a construction foreman for Baukol Builders, Grand Forks. Up to the time of his death, he had been working for Swanberg Construction of Valley City, ND. Kent followed in the footsteps of his father and grandpa Neu and became a skilled builder, an interest and trade he passed onto his sons. Kent married Linda Funk on February 28, 1981 in Lisbon, ND. They have three super kids; Robert, Charles, and Kaitlin who he dearly adored. Kent was passionate about attending his kids' athletic events, school and church functions in Jamestown. When he was nine years old, Kent committed his life to Jesus and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Williston, ND. In 2001, Kent was part of an overseas mission team from Grace Baptist Church, Grand Forks. He assisted in building a church in Naga City, Philippines. Kent was a man of integrity and was very generous. In spite of his size and strength, he was a gentle spirit. Kent will be greatly missed by his family; Robert (Mallory) of Wahpeton, ND, Charles of Grand Forks, ND, Kaitlin of Bismarck, ND, and their mom Linda of Jamestown, ND; his sister Kathleen (Gordon) Heller of Gackle, ND; his nephews, Keaton (Jennifer) of Gackle, ND, Kalen (Sarah) of La Crosse, WI, and a great niece Emma of Gackle, ND. Both of Kent's parents, Bob and Mary Lou, preceded him in death in 2005. God Speed Punky! Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery of Jamestown, ND.
