Rachel M. Yahna, 35, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at her aunt and uncle's home in Arlington, VA, surrounded by family and friends. Rachel Marie Kelly was born on June 17, 1979, in Grand Forks, the daughter of Michael and EllaRae (Schill) Kelly. Always a vibrant personality, she grew up and attended school in Larimore, ND, where she was a talented student-athlete. She graduated from Larimore High School and attended Minnesota State University Moorhead, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration. Rachel married her high school sweetheart Mark Yahna on July 27th, 2002. They lived in Minneapolis, MN, for ten years where Rachel worked for Fairview Health Services and Target. Mark and Rachel moved to Grand Forks in 2011, where she worked as the Business Office Manager at North Valley Health Center in Warren, MN. Rachel was known for her fashionable sense of style, love of travel and continuous, brilliant smile. A devoted wife and mother, Rachel's children and family were the center of her world. She was greatly loved by many. Rachel is survived by her husband, Mark, Grand Forks; children, Ella and Cayden; brothers, Joel, Bismarck, ND, and Colin, Detroit, MI; sister, Melissa Schmitz and her husband Clayton, Waconia, MN; father, Michael Kelly and his wife Jane, Niagara, ND; grandmother Vivian Kelly, Larimore, ND; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin and Joan Yahna, Larimore, ND; aunts and uncles Steve & Jody Kelly, Arlington, VA, and Karen & Michael Larson, St. Louis Park, MN, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and brother- and sister-in-laws. Her mother, EllaRae, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, contributions for the children's college fund may be made out to Ella & Cayden Yahna and directed to Bremer Bank, PO Box 599, Larimore ND 58251. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 16th 2015 at 11AM in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S 9th Street, Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be for one and a half hours before the service in the church. Interment will be in the Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore, ND.
