Bruce K Holweger

Bruce K. Holweger, 52, Arvilla, ND, died Friday, June 26, 2015 near Arvilla. Bruce Kevin Holweger was born February 27, 1963 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Milton and Barbara (McPhearson) Holweger. He was raised near Larimore and attended Larimore High School. Bruce worked as an independent contractor in construction in the area for many years until he moved to Williston. While in Williston he worked in the oil fields. He recently returned to the area to work construction at Holweger Construction, a trade that he taught his sons. Bruce enjoyed ice fishing, going to the races, riding snowmobile with his sons, and spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. Not only was Bruce's' personality one of a kind, so was his decorating style for which he was proud; a huge collection of baseball caps that encompassed his home. Survivors include his children, Casey (Amanda) Holweger, East Grand Forks, MN, Shauna Holweger, Williston, ND and Cole Holweger, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Laquan, Weston and Grayson; mother, Barbara McPhearson, Arizonia; and a brother, Steven (Charlene) Holweger, Burnsville, MN. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Milt and by a brother, Wesley. Memorial Services will be 7:00 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015 in Calvary Lutheran Church of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery of Grand Forks. Military honors will be provided by the North Dakota Army National Guard.
