Joshua Zimmerman

Joshua L. "Josh" Zimmerman, 38, Grand Forks, and formerly of Thompson, ND died Saturday, July 4, 2015 in his home. Josh was born February 25, 1977 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Thomas and Patricia (Rettig) Zimmerman. He was raised in Thompson, ND and graduated from Thompson High School in 1995. Josh began working for Promark Telemarketing in Grand Forks. He was very good at his job and was awarded employee of the year. He worked at Lucky's Pool Hall and delivered for Shangri La Restaurant. He then worked as a delivery driver for DHL where he covered a 300 mile route. After the business closed, he attended Fed Ex driver's training school in Minneapolis, MN. He was a delivery driver for Fed Ex in Grand Forks and the surrounding area. The last number of years, Josh has been a cab driver for local taxi companies. Many of Josh's favorite times were spent playing golf, fishing and playing billiards. He won numerous billiard tournaments and was on a traveling pool league. Survivors include his son, Brady Zimmerman, Grand Forks; mother, Patricia Zimmerman, Thompson, ND; brothers, Jason Zimmerman, Grand Forks and Aaron (Sue) Zimmerman, Poquoson, VA. Josh was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be Friday, July 10, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Graveside service will be 10:30 AM Saturday in St. Jude's Catholic Cemetery of Thompson, ND.
