Norma Anderson

Norma A. Anderson, 83, of Loveland, CO, and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Sterling House Assisted Living Center in Loveland, CO. Norma Ardell Axelson was born on October 21, 1931 in Lakota, ND the daughter of Nels and Hilma (Kyllonen) Axelson. She grew up and attended school in Pelto Township, ND and graduated from Brocket High School. She attended Mayville State College graduating with a teaching degree and then attained her Master's degree from UND. Norma taught school in St. Thomas, Fischer, Grand Forks and Las Vegas. She married Orren Anderson on June 7, 1953 in Brocket, ND. Norma is survived by her son, Scott (Denise) Anderson; daughters, Melani (Neal) Rodningen and Lisa Sollin; grandchildren, Jason, Jesse, Callie (Drew), Emily (Alex), Ryan, Katie, Hannah and Garrett; great grandchildren, Carolynn, Abigail and Finlay. Norma was preceded in death by her husband Orren,her parents and daughter-in-law, Kari Anderson. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 10:30 AM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the funeral service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
