Warren James Hursman

Warren J. "Bud" Hursman, 79, of Grand Forks, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2015, with his family by his side. Bud was born April 25, 1936, in Newbre Township, ND, the son of Willis & Lydia (Clasen) Hursman. He graduated from Devils Lake Central High School. Bud married Larol Martin October 30, 1971, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Tolna, ND. He worked as a farmer and trucker. He served on the Brocket Elevator Board, the Newbre Township Board, and was a CPR Instructor. Bud enjoyed spending time in his garden and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Larol; sons, Wade and Eric; brothers, Fred (Orel) Hursman, Roy (Beverly) Hursman and several nieces & nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marilyn Pedersen and a brother, Howard. MEMORIAL MASS: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday, August 5, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will continue for the hour prior to the service at the church. INURNMENT: St. Mary's Cemetery, Tolna, ND.
