Claude R. Myrick

Claude "Rick" Myrick, 70, of Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, August 1, 2015 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Claude Richard Myrick was born on November 25, 1944 in Lincoln, Neb., the son of Claude and Evelyn(Smith) Myrick. He grew up and attended high school in Merkel, TX and he attended UND-Lake Region graduating with an AAS in Automotive Mechanics. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 until 1986, retiring as a TSgt. Rick served during the Vietnam War in his military career. He married Ellen S. Graff on December 20, 1975. He worked for UND as the Building Services Tech/Pool Operator for 18 years until retiring. Rick is survived by his wife, Ellen; son, Matthew of Grand Forks; brother, Jerry of Altus, OK; and a sister, Linda Myrick of Centralia, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Wayne and Lee-Roy. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Zion Methodist Church, 1001 24th Ave. South, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church. Interment will take place in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
