Zachary "Zac" Bengtson

Zachary Paul William Bengtson, 29, Grand Forks, ND passed away August 12th, 2015 surrounded by family at Altru Hospital, in Grand Forks, ND. Zac was born on November 7th, 1985, at Williams AFB, AZ, to Geoff and Michelle (Zierke) Bengtson. As a child in an Air Force Family, Zac also lived in Thetford, England and Atwater AFB, CA, and Grand Forks AFB, ND, before settling in the city of Grand Forks, ND. He graduated from Central High School in 2003 and Lake Region Community College in 2006. Following graduation, he worked as a logistics coordinator for Northwood Mills in Northwood, ND and a web design consultant for Amazon in Grand Forks, ND. He enjoyed reading, music, movies, traveling and spending time with friends and family. He could always be counted on to keep everyone laughing with his sarcastic and comedic comments. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his niece Violet. From the day she was born, he had a very special bond with his precious niece. Zac is survived by his parents, Geoff and Michelle, Grand Forks, ND, brother Garett and Jess, Crookston, MN, grandparents Len and Annette Zierke, and Marilyn Bengtson, Pelican Rapids, MN, aunt Lynette & Rob Combs, Surprise, AZ, uncle Rick and Bea Bengtson, San Antonio, TX, nephew Jackson Seibel, and niece Violet Bengtson, Crookston, MN, cousins Devon and Trevor Combs, Surprise, AZ. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Paul Bengtson. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday , August 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home.
